Trip Album
We hope that we'll be able to post to a Trip album while abroad. The blog app and iPad interface is pretty clunky at times, to say the least.

About the blog
Ericka and Meredith are heading to Moscow and The Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) for about 3 weeks.
This is primarily a work trip for Ericka. One of Ericka's jobs at The University of Iowa Libraries is to develop the collection of materials written by participants in the International Writing Program (IWP) who are from the former republics of the Soviet Union. A few years ago, the Libraries committed to developing the IWP collection retrospectively, and since then, UI collection librarians have tried various methods to acquire materials written by IWP authors during the program's 45-year history. In addition to working with overseas vendors, librarians have found it very productive to travel to the authors' countries. While abroad, librarians can establish connections with local vendors, meet with the authors themselves, and hopefully, acquire a lot of materials at a much lower cost than when using overseas vendors.
The plan right now is to meet with 8 authors in Moscow, 3 in Estonia, 2 in Latvia, and maybe 3 in Lithuania (that's still a bit sketchy).
Meredith will be the official picture taker, maybe the blogger, and occasionally, she need to lug some books around (we hope). We'll see how it goes.
We'll be able to take a few vacation days during our trip, too. So, yeah!
