Day #6
When we got to the parade street, we had to wait a long while for it to start. The tanks were very loud. Loud but interesting. And big.
We went to Koломенское (ka-low-min-sky-yeh) with Сергей (ser-gay) to see the churches and one of Peter the Great's houses. The tower on the right is a bell tower, and there were people are inside it playing the huge bells with strings by pulling on them at a certain time.
Peter the Great's statue is way too tall to be an actual person. Which makes some sense, because he's not an actual person.

Day #5
May 9 is the parade for the Russian Victory Day (WWII), so the tanks are setting up.
This is me and Маша (Masha), the daughter of one of the authors that Mom met with. She walked me around her street, and then we bought ice cream. (I was too full from dinner to eat any, though.)

Day #4
Pushkin with a pigeon on his head
A Chinese (or Japanese) guy on the street gave me this balloon. It looks like it says "My My", but in Russian, the y makes an oo sound. So it's "Moo Moo". I bet it was advertisement for some ice cream shop or something.
Before I tried a sprat (herring) fish head

Day #3
We went to see Alice Through The Looking Glass here. I liked the bunny that ran around screaming in a really high-pitched voice! (I'm not sure which part in the play she was supposed to be, though, but that could just be because the play was in Russian.)
Yum!:)
Russians know their desserts! (This is at the theatre, too)
This is the fountain by the Metro station at night.
Day #2
These two doors are both bathrooms... Can you guess which is which?
Men
Women
Today is the Russian Orthodox Easter. We went to a neighborhood church and saw their iconostas (wall of icons).

Day #1

Stanistawa (Stella) and Mom on the plane to Warsaw, Poland
I learned that toalety means toilet in Polish!
Meredith at the GUM, the state universal store
St. Basil's Cathedral
There are so many underwear stores here, and they have advertisements everywhere!
